Galatians 3:5-7
The Law and Faith in Christ
5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit
and work miracles among you because you obey the law of Moses?
Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.
6 In the same way, "Abraham believed God, so God declared him righteous because of his faith."
7 The real children of Abraham, then, are all those who put their faith in God.
(NLT)
Again we are no longer under the law. But miracles are done and the Holy Spirit is given because of believing on the name of Jesus Christ. We need to put our faith in the one true God the God of Abraham. Abraham believed God and he was declared righteous because of his faith. We are declared righteous when we put our faith in Christ. Through Christ we now stand righteous before God. Our position is now as sons and daughters of God the Father. You become a real child of God by putting your faith in Him. Faith is believing, faith is trusting and faith is what we are to live by. God is pleased when He sees our faith and trust in Him.
