Romans 8:1-4
Life in the Spirit
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. (NLT)

Belonging to Jesus sets you free, free from the bondage and control of sin. Now that sin no longer has a grip over our lives, it is time to follow the Spirit into the will of God for our lives. In Matthew, He says to “seek and you will find” and this is true. When your heart searches for God and for His will you will find it.
Love is what motivates God to draw us back to Himself. Love is the key that opens the doors and without God’s kind of love living in your heart you cannot move forward. Love covers a multitude of sin. Christmas is a reminder that we are to love one another as Christ came into this world to die for the love of the Father.
For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. You are now free to love as God intended you to love. You are now free to love one another.

Philippians 1:3-6
3 Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. 4 I always pray for you, and I make my requests with a heart full of joy 5 because you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. 6 And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. (NLT)

Is this you in verses 3–5? Do you pray for your friends and family that they too have opportunity to witness for Christ? If not, you should be. If you are, praise the Lord and keep up the good work. Is there someone you have partnered with in spreading the Good News? If not then find someone, someone you can encourage and someone who can encourage you.
I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. It is a guarantee that God will complete the work that He has started in your life. You were built to be in fellowship and in a relationship with God and God wants to spend a lot more time with you. You are His special child and don’t you forget it.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (NLT)

Think about this for a moment or longer, you are God’s masterpiece.” God does not create junk. We are created in the image and likeness of God. We are all beautifully made and perfect in the eyes of God and only God’s opinion is what matters not the words. It is the world that is truly ugly because it is full of sin. God through His special favor when you believed in Christ Jesus, brought you back so that you can be what He planned for you to be from long ago. Our Salvation is not a reward, we cannot boast about it, we can’t take credit for it, we did not deserve it, and it is not because of good that we did because we only sinned. It is because God loves His creation and you are His masterpiece.

Ephesians 4:30-32
30 And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (NLT)

Our identity is in Christ Jesus. We are identified as God’s children and as His children we need to act in accordance with His word. We represent God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore we need to put aside all the worldly behavior and put on God’s behavior – kindness, love, tenderness, patience and forgiving one another just as God did through Christ forgiving us. We tend to act like those that we are around most, so spend a lot of time with Jesus and others will begin to see that you are a lot like Him.

Ephesians 1:9-14
9 God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. 10 And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ — everything in heaven and on earth. 11 Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago. 12 God's purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God. 13 And now you also have heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. 14 The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God. (NLT)

God’s secret plan
God’s secret plan is Jesus Christ. His whole plan is centered around Jesus. Everything is about Jesus. We are part of that plan. Our lives are to reflect God’s plan that Jesus Christ is living in and through us. We are to deliver Jesus’ message that He died for everyone and that He is the salvation to the world. We have an inheritance in Christ, we have the Holy Spirit because of Christ, we have a guarantee that God will give us everything He promised and we are God’s own purchased people. All this is reason for us to praise and worship our glorious God.

Ephesians 1:3-5
3 How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. 4 Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. (NLT)

What gives God great pleasure? Adopting those who believe in His Son Jesus Christ. You want to bring pleasure to God your Father then share Jesus with others. God’s plan has never changed and His love for us and others has never changed. So during this time of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior give someone the greatest gift that can ever be given and that is Jesus Christ. He came for the hopeless, died for our sins and rose that we would spend eternity with Him and the Father. Give the gift that keeps on giving – Jesus.

1 John 4:7-21
Loving One Another
7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God — for God is love.
9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us.
13 And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. 14 Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 All who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in him.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we are like Christ here in this world.
18 Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of judgment, and this shows that his love has not been perfected in us. 19 We love each other as a result of his loving us first.
20 If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we have not seen? 21 And God himself has commanded that we must love not only him but our Christian brothers and sisters, too. (NLT)
Love, God is love; we love because God loved us first. We cannot love apart from God. God’s love is unconditional and Jesus was a perfect reflection of that kind of love and we are to be a reflection of Jesus.

Colossians 3:12-17
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 You must make allowance for each other's faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
16 Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father. (NLT)

God chose you. God chose you to be holy because He loves you. This is the type of person He wants you to become  in this life and that is to be tenderhearted, kind, humble, gentle, patient and to forgive as God has forgiven you. Always be thankful for all God has done for you and what He will do for you in the future. Sing songs to the Lord with thankfulness in your heart and let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise.

John 10:27-30
27 My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me.  28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me.  30 The Father and I are one."  (NLT)

“The Father and I are one.” The Father and Jesus are one and the same. Our Savior is more powerful than anyone or anything. This is why we can have complete security in our salvation. Why? Jesus says it right here “No one will snatch them away from me.” Remember that Jesus has got you in His hands, He is in control and no one is greater than Him. Therefore we can go boldly forward with the gospel because Jesus has got our back.

John 6:35-40
35 Jesus replied, "I am the bread of life. No one who comes to me will ever be hungry again. Those who believe in me will never thirst.  36 But you haven't believed in me even though you have seen me.  37 However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.  38 For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do what I want.  39 And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them to eternal life at the last day.  40 For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life — that I should raise them at the last day."  (NLT)

“I am the Bread Of Life.” Jesus is the giver and the sustainer of life. In Christ we will never hunger or be thirsty and death will not rule over us. We have security in Christ. God has given us to Jesus and to those who believe in Jesus he will never reject them.
God sent Jesus to do His will and Jesus did not do what He wanted but what His Father in Heaven wanted. Jesus has sent us into this world not to do what we want but to do the will of the Father as He did.
We have the assurance that on the last day Jesus will raise us up to eternal life. Jesus has always kept His promises as God the Father has always kept His promises. We do not need to doubt for no matter what happens here on the earth we need to look forward to what lies ahead, that is, eternal life with Christ.

1 John 5:1-5
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. 2 We know we love God's children if we love God and obey his commandments. 3 Loving God means keeping his commandments, and really, that isn't difficult. 4 For every child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory. 5 And the ones who win this battle against the world are the ones who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (NLT)

Every believing child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory. 1 Corinthians 15:57 "and to God — thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (YLT)." We know that we are God’s children when we love God, we love our brothers and sisters in Christ and that we love to obey and keep God’s commandments. As children of God we are not to keep this victory in Jesus to ourselves, but share this victory with others because they too need this victory in their lives. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of God can have victory over their hurts, habits and hang ups. Spread the news, the Victory is in Jesus.
1 John 5:11-12
11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. (NLT)

Eternal life is found only in Jesus. God has testified to this through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son. So whoever has God's Son has life and this life we are to live unto Jesus all of our days and not to ourselves. This life is a glorious life to live because we get to live it with Jesus. We may not physically see Him but He is right there with you whether you feel it or not. Living life with Christ is not a feeling, faith is not a feeling, believing is not a feeling but a decision. Just like love is not a feeling but a conscious decision to love, so faith in Christ and to this life with Him daily is a conscious decision. Decide to live life to the fullest with Jesus.

2 Corinthians 6:1-2
As God's partners, we beg you not to reject this marvelous message of God's great kindness. 2 For God says,
"At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you."
Indeed, God is ready to help you right now. Today is the day of salvation. (NLT)

God hears us when we cry out to Him for help. God hears us when we are joyful. And God hears us when we ask for forgiveness and ask His Son Jesus to come into our hearts. Do not reject God’s marvelous message of great kindness but receive it with joy.
We must share that God is ready to help right now. Those who are lost need to hear that God is always ready and willing to help. Jesus is right there at the door of their heart ready and waiting for them. Remind them that God is right here right now and today is the day of salvation. The Holy Spirit will be with you every step as you share Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21
18 All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. 20 We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. (NLT)

There are some people who say to themselves, let’s move to a new town far from here and start a new life, but what they fail to see is that their old problems and habits follow them wherever they go. Only God can provide a new life and change the old habits. This life is in Christ and Christ living in you. God has provided us with a great opportunity to turn from our sin and selfishness and turn to a new and wonderful life. He calls us to be ambassadors and gives us a message to share, the message of reconciliation. God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. He wants to use our voice to share the message, for us to urge others as though Jesus Himself was here pleading with them to “Be reconciled to God.” Therefore fulfill your calling as an ambassador for Christ and share the message.

Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (NLT)

Death is our payment for sin. When we reject God and Jesus our wages for that sin of rejection and unbelief is death. That is spiritual and physical death. It is eternal separation from God, but God in His grace and mercy not wanting any to parish provided a way out. The way out is the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We need to recognize that we are sinners; we need to believe by faith that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and that He rose from the dead so that we could have new life. Salvation is simple. God did not make it complicated. Salvation has always been based on faith in God. Now through the final sacrifice that God gave in His Son Jesus God provided salvation for all of us.
When you give a gift to someone, you give it freely at no cost to that person -- it is free. But the person receiving the gift has to accept the gift from the giver. If the receiver rejects the gift they do not receive it. When a gift is given you do not know what it is, but God tells you what the gift is. The free gift is eternal life through Christ Jesus. This is the most wonderful gift that can be given or received. If you do have it then continue to share this free gift with others so that they can have it too.
 Do you have it?
If you don’t have it then it is time to receive this free gift from God. Confess that you are a sinner to God; ask Him to forgive your sins, ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart and life. Don’t wait to receive this free gift, today is the day of your salvation.

Romans 5:9-11
9 And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. 10 For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God — all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God. (NLT)

“We have been made right in God’s sight.” – We can rejoice in this that by the blood of Jesus Christ and His death God has paid our debt and we are made right with Him.
“We have been restored to friendship with God.” – God through His grace and mercy has brought us back into friendship with Him.  As Adam was in a friendship with God before he sinned, through Christ we now have that friendship with God.
“We have been delivered from eternal punishment.” – Through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, confessing to be sinners, asking for forgiveness, believing in Christ and asking Him into our lives He frees us from eternal punishment.
“We can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship.” – In our new and wonderful relationship with God we can rejoice and praise and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all that He has accomplished on the cross and in our lives.

Romans 5:6-8
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, no one is likely to die for a good person, though someone might be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (NLT)

We must continually remind ourselves that those who have not accepted Christ are utterly helpless and without hope. Christ has called each one of us to bring the message of hope to a lost and dying world. Christ came at just the right time, came at God’s appointed time, He accomplished God’s will and died for all of us sinners. Jesus is the only hope this world has and through Christ God showed us His great love for us by the death of His son while we were still in our sin. God loves us, Christ loves us, we are to love God, we are to love one another and we are to show and share this love with those around us. We are to give this love God has given to us away and as we give this love away God will fill us with more love to give away. Share Christ with others and accomplish God’s calling in your life.

Romans 3:23-26
23 For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard. 24 Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. 25 For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times. 26 And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus. (NLT)

What more can be said? These verses say it all. God is a gracious and glorious God. We are all sinners and we have all sinned against God. No one is exempt. But God is a fair and just God, not wanting any to perish, but providing a way back home to where we belong. And that way is through believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Forgiveness comes by believing that Jesus came to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God’s anger against our sins through the shed blood of His son Jesus. Believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
When we say, “That’s not fair!” what we really are saying is, “I did not get my way.” But what did God say? That He will give us what we need, to obey His commandments and to give Him all the glory. By this He will bless your life and make you a blessing in other people’s lives. Be a blessing and share Jesus with someone today.

Acts 4:12-13
2 There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."
13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men who had had no special training. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. (NLT)

The Pharisees knew that Peter and John were common or ordinary men with no special training. But that is exactly who God loves to use to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Yet this one thing they did notice that stood out more than anything else and that was “they recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.” The more time we spend with Jesus, the more others will recognize that we too have been with Jesus. They will see Jesus living His life through us. The reason that Peter and John could proclaim the Gospel with such boldness is because of the amount of time they spent with Jesus.
There is no one besides Jesus who can save! In all of history Jesus is the only one who died for all people so that they would be reconciled to God. It is the name of Jesus that we need to share with those around us.

John 11:25-26
25 Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again.  26 They are given eternal life for believing in me and will never perish. Do you believe this, Martha?" (NLT)

Do you believe this? Jesus is the resurrection and the life. That life begins with Jesus. Salvation begins with believing in Jesus. When you believe that Jesus is the Messiah, that He died for your sins on the cross and that He rose from the dead then you will receive the free gift of Salvation. Jesus paid it all and all means all. You are given eternal life for believing Jesus’ words and actions.
God chose the simplicity of the Gospel to confound the wise. It is each of our calling to share our faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ with this lost and dying world. 24 "I assure you, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.  (NLT)

Is not this wonderful? Jesus assures us that when we believed and received His gospel that we have eternal life and have passed from death into life. God will not ever condemn us for our sins because Christ’s blood has covered our sins. This does not give us permission to go and sin more, but to be transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. Is not this wonderful? This is good news that we need to share with others, for they are condemned to death. We have been chosen and called to continue sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

John 3:31-36
31 "He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. I am of the earth, and my understanding is limited to the things of earth, but he has come from heaven.   32 He tells what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them! 33 Those who believe him discover that God is true. 34 For he is sent by God. He speaks God's words, for God's Spirit is upon him without measure or limit. 35 The Father loves his Son, and he has given him authority over everything. 36 And all who believe in God's Son have eternal life. Those who don't obey the Son will never experience eternal life, but the wrath of God remains upon them."  (NLT)

Jesus is from above and is greater than anyone, we are from the earth and our understanding is limited. That is why Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to guide us and to instruct us. We have the assurance that He is with us always. When we receive the gospel and the Lord Jesus we receive the call to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone. As we are obedient to the Son of God we experience eternal life and those who do not experience the wrath of God upon them. For us it is given to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who will listen and to those who do not. For some who do not believe we may be planting a seed or watering a planted seed or a ray of sunlight before the harvest. Do not be discouraged of those who do not believe but continue to pray for them and to proclaim Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Mark 16:15-17
15 And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.  16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. (NLT)

As we go about in this life that God has given us to live we are to be continually sharing the Good News to everyone and everywhere. We must be ready at all times to share Jesus -- that is why we need to know and to memorize scripture. We need to be ready to give the account of what Jesus has done for the entire world and how much He loves them. We need to ready to plant the seed of salvation, ready to water the seed that has been planted and ready to harvest. Jesus has said, Look around you! Vast fields are ripening all around us and are ready now for the harvest. Share, Plant, Water and Harvest, lead them to Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:3-5
3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me — that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said. (NLT)

The gospel was passed on to Paul and it has been passed on to us as well. Now that the gospel has been passed on to you, what are you doing with it? Are you sharing? Are you passing it on to the next generation? We are to pass on the gospel to others. We are to give it away. We are not to keep it to ourselves. Have you heard the phrase “Pay it forward”? That is what we are to be doing “Paying it forward.” Sharing the gospel from a sincere heart, for the gospel is a matter of the heart. Therefore pay it forward by sharing your life and testimony that Jesus died for you, was buried for you and was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures have said. Some will receive the good news and some will reject it. Do not be discouraged, but praise the Lord for those who receive the good news.

John 14:6
6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (NLT)

“I am the way,” the way is a path and that path only leads to Jesus. “The Truth,” Jesus is the truth and the truth can only be found in Jesus. “The Life,” Jesus is the life, true life, real purposeful and meaningful life is found only in Jesus. The Father designed salvation to be through Jesus and only through Jesus. This verse is a verse to be used when you share your faith in Jesus with others to show them the pathway to Jesus. Jesus loves you, will lead you on the right path, will always tell you the truth and He is the only one who can fill the void in your life and give your life meaning and purpose.
