Ephesians 2:8-10

8 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (NLT)

 

Think about this for a moment or longer, “you are God’s masterpiece.” God does not create junk. We are created in the image and likeness of God. We are all beautifully made and perfect in the eyes of God and only God’s opinion is what matters not the words. It is the world that is truly ugly because it is full of sin. God through His special favor when you believed in Christ Jesus, brought you back so that you can be what He planned for you to be from long ago. Our Salvation is not a reward, we cannot boast about it, we can’t take credit for it, we did not deserve it, and it is not because of good that we did because we only sinned. It is because God loves His creation and you are His masterpiece.
