Words of Encouragement

Psalms 8:4-9
4 what are mortals that you should think of us, mere humans that you should care for us?
5 For you made us only a little lower than God, and you crowned us with glory and honor.
6 You put us in charge of everything you made, giving us authority over all things —
7 the sheep and the cattle and all the wild animals,
8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.
9 O LORD, our Lord, the majesty of your name fills the earth! (NLT)

Why does God care about us? We have sinned against Him, turned our backs on Him and have even used His name in vain as though it was a common word. He cares because we are His creation, we were made by His hands and He loves His creation. He will never give up on His creation for He sees what we do not see. He sees the beginning to the end and it is good. God gave us free will to choose just as He chose to create us He wants us to choose Him. We are the crowning jewel of all of His creation therefore we are to cry out -
O LORD, our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth! Amen!
You and you along are worthy of all praise and honor and glory! Amen!

Psalms 8:1-3
1 O LORD, our Lord, the majesty of your name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
2 You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise.
They silence your enemies who were seeking revenge.
3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers —
the moon and the stars you have set in place — (NLT)

The majesty of the Lord is everywhere, just look around you even nature tells of the majesty and glory of God the Father. See the children and learn how to trust in the Lord without doubting. We need a childlike faith to follow the Lord. The earth, the moon and the stars all tell of the power and glory of God. He is creator of all things.
Praise the Lord for He is worth of all praise. Praise the Lord.

Psalm 6:1-10
1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your rage.
2 Have compassion on me, LORD, for I am weak. Heal me, LORD, for my body is in agony.
3 I am sick at heart. How long, O LORD, until you restore me?
4 Return, O LORD, and rescue me. Save me because of your unfailing love.
5 For in death, who remembers you? Who can praise you from the grave?
6 I am worn out from sobbing. Every night tears drench my bed; my pillow is wet from weeping.
7 My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.
8 Go away, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my crying.
9 The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD will answer my prayer.
10 May all my enemies be disgraced and terrified. May they suddenly turn back in shame. (NLT)

God is a Holy God and when we come before Him we must know our place and our condition before Him. Even though you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, God is still Holy. You must humbly come before Him, honor Him and praise Him. It is because of His unfailing and unconditional love that we are here and that we can come before Him personally. For we are weak and our hearts are sick that we must come before God in an attitude of humility and in confession of our sins.
For when our hearts are right before for Him He hears our cries, forgives our sins and answers our prayers. He is always right beside us, loving us, guiding us, waiting for us and instructing us.
Turn your heart to the Lord and He will rescue you from your trouble.

Psalm 5:1-6
1 O LORD, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning.
2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God,
for I will never pray to anyone but you.
3 Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
4 O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the slightest sin.
5 Therefore, the proud will not be allowed to stand in your presence,
for you hate all who do evil.
6 You will destroy those who tell lies.
The LORD detests murderers and deceivers. (NLT)

Come before the Lord humbly to pray unto Him. Know that He does hear your prayers and He is listening. Spend needed time with the Lord in prayer, in praise and in glorifying His name. Worship Him during your prayer time. God is not foolish -- He knows your sins, your troubles and your successes. Give Him honor and glory to His name. Honor the Son for His name is above all names.
The Lord loves to hear from you every day.

Psalms 12:6
6 The LORD's promises are pure,
like silver refined in a furnace,
purified seven times over.  (NLT)

When the Lord gives a promise, He follows through with it and it is a guarantee that He will do it. God does not do something halfhearted or whenever He feels like it, but He knows the perfect time to deliver. God does not throw out promises like candy, but His promises benefit your life to show you who He is and how much He loves you. Do not take His promises lightly or for granted, but embrace them for they are a gift from God to you personally. Scripture has many promises for you, search the Word for God’s promises and see how rich God has made you.

Psalms 4:1-8
Evening Prayer of Trusting God
1 Answer me when I call, O God who declares me innocent. Take away my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2 How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make these groundless accusations? How long will you pursue lies?
3 You can be sure of this: The LORD has set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him.
4 Don't sin by letting anger gain control over you. Think about it overnight and remain silent.
5 Offer proper sacrifices, and trust in the LORD.
6 Many people say, "Who will show us better times? “Let the smile of your face shine on us, LORD.
7 You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and wine.
8 I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe. (NLT)

When others accuse you or lie about you, remember that God is with you. Do not let anger or revenge enter in but trust in the Lord, sleep on it and pray about it. Do not give in to anger or let sin in, but turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for He will guide you into all truth. Jesus has given you a greater joy and an abundant life to live. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and when you lie down to sleep it will be in peace. The Lord will keep you safe because you are never alone. Seek the Lord with all your strength for He hears your prayers.
Trust in Him.
