Psalms 3:1-8
Morning Prayer of Trusting God
1 O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me.
2 So many are saying, "God will never rescue him!"
3 But you, O LORD, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts my head high.
4 I cried out to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy mountain.
5 I lay down and slept. I woke up in safety,
for the LORD was watching over me.
6 I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies
who surround me on every side.
7 Arise, O LORD! Rescue me, my God!
Slap all my enemies in the face!
Shatter the teeth of the wicked!
8 Victory comes from you, O LORD.
May your blessings rest on your people. (NLT)

The Lord is your shield, He is your glory, He is your inheritance and it is He who lifts up your head. He is ever watching over you, protecting you and giving you safety. The road may be rough but He is always with you. You may have many who are against you but God is for you and He will rescue you. He will shatter the wicked  and give you rest.
Victory comes from the LORD.

Psalms 11:4-7
4 But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven.
He watches everything closely, examining everyone on earth.
5 The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked.
He hates everyone who loves violence.
6 He rains down blazing coals on the wicked,
punishing them with burning sulfur and scorching winds.
7 For the LORD is righteous, and he loves justice.
Those who do what is right will see his face.  (NLT)

The Lord is watching, He sees everything and He hears everything -- nothing escapes Him. The Lord examines and tests each one of us and He knows your heart. We will not escape the day of judgement; our sins are forgiven but we will be judged for how we lived our life in Christ. The Lord has provided salvation for those who believe in Him, but for those who reject Him there is only eternal punishment. For the Lord is righteous, and He loves justice. Obey the words of Christ, follow His teaching, abide in Him, love what He loves and follow Him all the days of your life.
Those who do what is right will see His face.

Psalms 2:10 & 17
10 God is my shield,
saving those whose hearts are true and right.

17 I will thank the LORD because he is just;
I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. (NLT)

God is your shield. A shield is used to protect and God is a shield of protection from the evil of this world. We will be affected by the world but God protects you from it destroying your life and He saves those whose hearts are true and right. Therefore sing praise unto the LORD Most High who has blessed you with every spiritual blessing.
Worship and Praise the Lord.

Words of Encouragement

Psalm 2:11-12
11 Worship the LORD with reverence,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 Do homage to the Son, lest He become angry, and you perish in the way,
For His wrath may soon be kindled.
How blessed are all who take refuge in Him! (NASB)

Worship the Lord with all your heart, with all your strength and with reverence toward your Great God. Do homage to the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords our Savior Jesus Christ. Take refuge under His mighty wings where He protects you from the evil one. Show the Lord how much you love Him; speak of His worthiness and His lovingkindness. Let Christ shine in you and through you so that others can see His glory.
Worship the LORD.

Psalm 1:4-6
4 But this is not true of the wicked.
They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment.
Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6 For the LORD watches over the path of the godly,
but the path of the wicked leads to destruction. (NLT)

When things get hard the wicked do not remain, they run as the wind scatters the chaff. They do not hold up under pressure because they have no foundation to stand on; therefore the sinner has no place among the godly.
The godly has a foundation and that foundation is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our rock, He is our stronghold and He watches over the pathway of those He loves. We are to stand firm in Him.
Trust in Him and Him alone for He cares for you.

Psalms 1:1-3
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers.
2 But they delight in doing everything the LORD wants;
day and night they think about his law.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season without fail.
Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper. (NLT)

There is much joy in following the Lord. Satan and the wicked want sin to seem fun, enjoyable and desirable and above all to withhold the truth from you. They want nothing more than to rob you of your joy in the Lord so that they can scoff and laugh at you. Sin brings you down; down to a place none of us want to be at – the bottom of the pit.
But those who turn from sin and delight in doing everything the LORD wants will receive joy and blessings. God never said life would be easy, but living for Him will bring much joy even in the time of trails and hardship. Verse three says they will bear fruit each season without fail. No matter what life throws at you when you live in the LORD He will not leave you or forsake you but in all that you do He will prosper you.
You will be like a tree planted along the riverbank – Strong and thriving.

The Day of the Lord Is Coming
2 Peter 3:14-18
14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to live a pure and blameless life. And be at peace with God.
15 And remember, the Lord is waiting so that people have time to be saved. This is just as our beloved brother Paul wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him —  16 speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters around to mean something quite different from what he meant, just as they do the other parts of Scripture — and the result is disaster for them.
17 I am warning you ahead of time, dear friends, so that you can watch out and not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people. I don't want you to lose your own secure footing. 18 But grow in the special favor and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be all glory and honor, both now and forevermore. Amen. (NLT)

Dear friends as you are waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus, make every effort to live a pure and blameless life. Do that which pleases the Lord and be at peace with Him. Remember God is giving others time to receive the Lord Jesus therefore be a participant in the Gospel sharing wherever you go. Be in the Word, know the Word and live the Word. Be ready in season and out of season. Stand firm in Christ and do not lose your secure footing in Him. Grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
To Him be all glory and honor, both now and forevermore. Amen.

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year
