Galatians 1:13-15 13 You know what I was like when I followed the Jewish religion — how I violently persecuted the Christians. I did my best to get rid of them. 14 I was one of the most religious Jews of my own age, and I tried as hard as possible to follow all the old traditions of my religion. 15 But then something happened! For it pleased God in his kindness to choose me and call me, even before I was born! What undeserved mercy! (NLT) There is a time to think back on who and what we were before receiving Christ. That is to remember to never go back to that again but to press forward and onward to Christ. Without Christ religion is nothing more than a bunch of rules and regulations to bring you down and control your life. It took Jesus Christ to show Paul that it was about relationship with Him not tradition, rules and regulations. But a relationship with Jesus Christ brings freedom, joy, peace, love, grace and mercy. Because salvation through Christ is pleasing to God, it was His plan and He loves it when a plan comes together. God choose you, God has called you even before you were born. What undeserved mercy!
