Philippians 1:1-2
This letter is from Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus.
It is written to all of God's people in Philippi, who believe in Christ Jesus, and to the elders and deacons.
2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
(NLT)
Paul saw himself as a slave or bond-servant of Christ Jesus. We too are called to be bond-servants of Christ Jesus. If you have received Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you too have been called to service. You have not been called to sit on the side lines but to serve. There is no age requirement and there is no retirement from service to the Lord. You start your service with Christ Jesus and you end your service with Christ Jesus. He will always be right by your side from the beginning to the very end and for all eternity. This letter may have originally been written to the Philippians but it also to us, those who believe in Christ Jesus and the leaders of the church.
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
