God directing our path is God building our life. God will build us as we trust Him. Our faith, our trust, grows as we walk with Him and are students of His Word. We become less concerned about what we want and more about what God wants. We will commit ourselves, our wills, to Him.
READ – Psalm 37:5
This Psalm is a favorite to many. It talks about trusting God even in difficult times. In verse 5, we are told to commit our way unto the Lord. This has the idea of us giving our will to God to shape us as He wants. The emphasis is on His will, not ours. The great thing about God’s Word is that God knows us. Right after He says to commit our way to Him, He repeats the phrase to trust in Him. He knows you and I will not commit our lives into His hands if we do not trust Him. God will prove His trustworthiness as we walk with Him. The more we walk with Him, the more proof He will give us. The longer we walk with Him, the more we know Him, the easier it becomes to give Him everything.
