Mark 14:27-31
Jesus Predicts Peter's Denial

27 "All of you will desert me," Jesus told them. "For the Scriptures say,
'God will strike the Shepherd,
and the sheep will be scattered.'
28 But after I am raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there."  29 Peter said to him, "Even if everyone else deserts you, I never will."
30 "Peter," Jesus replied, "the truth is, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times."
31 "No!" Peter insisted. "Not even if I have to die with you! I will never deny you!" And all the others vowed the same. (NLT)
Have we ever acted like this? Sure we have. “Hey I’ll be there” and then you don’t show up. “Oh I’m sorry something came up and I couldn’t make it.” Have you heard these excuses or worse have you given this excuse? God always keeps His word and we are to be like our Father in Heaven. If we say we are going to do something or be somewhere then do it, no excuses. Be a person of integrity as Jesus was. When we keep our word and obey God in it then we are blessed but if we do not we will have consequences to face. Be Holy for God is Holy. Show yourself different from the world and let your light shine for Jesus.
