Mark 3:28-30

28 "I assure you that any sin can be forgiven, including blasphemy;
29 but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven.
     It is an eternal sin."
30 He told them this because they were saying he had an evil spirit.  (NLT)

Jesus was warning these scribes and Pharisees that they were on dangerous ground by saying he had an evil Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who was indwelling Him and to say this of the Holy Spirit is a sin that will never be forgiven. God will forgive those that use His name in vain and forgive those who use Jesus’ name in vain but not that of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is Holy not evil. It is the Holy Spirit who indwells us, teaches us, guides and makes us His. Therefore rejoice that Jesus has marked you as His by the Holy Spirit.
