21 Then Jesus asked them, "Would anyone light a lamp
     and then put it under a basket or under a bed to shut out the light?
     Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.

This seems to be what most people do. They receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and He lights up their life, then in time they hide the light and they cover it up so no one knows they have the light. This is sad. Christ has given us salvation and it was costly. More than we will ever know and understand. What kind of love is this that someone gives up their life for us? Who shed His blood and died for us, can we really comprehend this? God’s Word calls our sin an open sewer. But through Jesus He has made us clean, He put His light within us and we are to let that light shine for all to see. Jesus brings hope to everyone and He has chosen us to let His light shine through us to everyone else. Let your light shine for all to see and give Jesus all the glory.
