Philippians 2:8-9

8 And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal's death on a cross.
9 Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name (NLT)

We are to be like Jesus, so we as Christ followers need to humble ourselves and be obedient to our Savior. Jesus not only died a horrible death for us in our place but He died a criminal’s death. He was not a criminal nor did He commit any crimes. We were the criminals, we were the ones who had committed acts of sin against our creator and it was because of this that He had to die on the cross a criminal’s death. For us.
Because Jesus was obedient unto death God raised Him up and seated Him in the heights of heaven and gave Him the name that is above every other name. We serve a risen and living Savior that knows our pain and who is worth of our obedience. Take the time right now and thank Him for everything He has done and is doing in your life.
