Mark 6:45-46

45 Immediately after this, Jesus made his disciples get back into the boat and head out across to Bethsaida, while he sent the people home. 46 Afterward he went up into the hills by himself to pray.

Jesus sent the disciples on ahead of Him because He had another step for them to learn. While the disciples rowed across the lake Jesus went to a quiet place to pray. We need to follow Jesus' example and find that place where we can be alone with no distraction and spend time with our Heavenly Father. God loves it when we spend one on one time with Him and we need that one on one time with our Father. The world wants to do nothing more than to distract us from spending time with Jesus. This is a must in our Christian walk to spend time alone with Jesus. Find a regular time and place every day to spend quality focused quiet time with Jesus. He is waiting for you and He desires to be with you.
