Mark 1:23-24

23 A man possessed by an evil spirit was in the synagogue,
24 and he began shouting, "Why are you bothering us, Jesus of Nazareth?
    Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are
     — the Holy One sent from God!"

We can take encouragement from the fact the even the demons know Jesus and are afraid of Him. The Jesus we follow is all powerful and He has adopted us into His family. We are under His household and His inheritance and His power. We truly have nothing to fear for Christ is for us; He has redeemed us and has covered our debt. For when you receive Jesus as your Savior He places His mark upon you as His. So even the demons know that we belong to Jesus and are afraid of us because we are the possession of Christ – the Holy one sent from God! Shout for Joy in the Lord for He is our powerful God.
