Pressing toward the Goal

Philippians 3:15-16

15 I hope all of you who are mature Christians will agree on these things.
If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.
16 But we must be sure to obey the truth we have learned already.
(NLT)

Everything Paul has said up to this point he hopes that all who are mature will agree about these things. If you disagree pray and let God show you or make it plain to you what He wants you to believe. Never go off on what you think, feel or even believe but make sure it is from God’s Word and that God has Himself shown it to you. But even if you disagree for the moment remember to be sure to obey the truth you have already learned. For each person is in a different place in the process of becoming a mature Christian and those who are more mature must remember to be patient with those who are not there yet, but to give room for growth. Hold to the truth of God’s Words and let the Holy Spirit teach and guide you along your path.
