1 Peter 2:21-23

1 This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps. 22 He never sinned, and he never deceived anyone. 23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. (NLT)

 

Do you find it difficult to suffer for Jesus? Do you find yourself not wanting to suffer for His cause? Do you find it hard to follow in Christ’s example of suffering? You have been called to suffer with Jesus just as He did. You are to follow in His steps wherever He leads you. Jesus never deceived anyone, never lied, He never threatened to get even and He never retaliated when insulted even on the cross. What did He do when these things happened to Him? He left them in God’s hands to take care of things because He knew God always judges fairly. So no matter what happens to you, suffer with Jesus and leave all the rest in God’s hands.
