Colossians 4:2-4

 

An Encouragement for Prayer

2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. 3 Don't forget to pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to preach about his secret plan — that Christ is also for you Gentiles. That is why I am here in chains. 4 Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. (NLT)

 

Devote and dedicate yourself to prayer. Prayer is what encourages and sustains us. We must be in continual communication with our Father for He loves to hear from us and He has much to tell us. Pray for one another for opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for each other that you will proclaim the message clearly as you should. Prayer binds us together and it binds us to the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us. Pray with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
